This policy explains what Best Pest Control London (“we”, “us”) collects from people who visit this website or contact us, what we do with it, and the choices you have. Who is responsible for your data
Best Pest Control London is the data controller for the personal information described here, under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
- What you send us. When you fill in a form on this site, call, or email, we receive what you give us: usually your name, phone number, email address, postcode or address, and a description of the pest problem.
- Job details. If we carry out work for you, we keep the address, the treatment carried out, visit dates and any service report.
- Website usage. Pages viewed, the device and browser used, and roughly where the visit came from, collected through cookies (see below).
We never take payment card details through this website.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and book a visit. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
- To carry out the treatment, follow-up visits and any guarantee. Lawful basis: performing our contract with you.
- To keep records for tax and accounting. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
- To measure how well our website and advertising work. Lawful basis: your consent, where cookies are involved.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for anything you would not reasonably expect.
Cookies and advertising
This site uses cookies from Google, including Google Analytics and, when we advertise, the Google Ads tag. These cookies show us which pages people use and which of our Google ads lead to an enquiry (conversion tracking). Where enabled, they may also let Google show our ads to people who have visited this site before (remarketing). Google explains how it uses this data at policies.google.com/privacy. You can turn off personalised Google ads at adssettings.google.com, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site still works without them.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run the business, and only what each one needs:
- Our website host, which stores this site and the form submissions sent through it.
- Google, for website analytics and advertising measurement as described above.
- The email and booking tools we use to manage enquiries and appointments.
Each provider processes data only to provide its service to us. Some of them may store data outside the UK. Where that happens, it is protected by the safeguards UK law requires. Beyond this, we share personal information only if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a job are deleted within 12 months. Customer and job records are kept for 6 years after the last visit, for tax, guarantee and legal reasons, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you and send you a copy, correct anything that is wrong, delete your information, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to another provider. You can withdraw cookie consent at any time. To do any of this, email info@bestpestcontrollondon.com. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
